CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 2/19/07 Agenda Item # ~~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Required Budget Request Sign-Off for Rowan-Cabarrus Community College <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Community College Laws ,section 115D-54, requires each Community College to submit a <br />Budget to the North Carolina Community College System annually with the approval of the <br />Counties that provide funding to the College. For FY 06/07, Cabarrus County budgeted <br />$1,570,473 in current expense funding. The entire RCCC budget totalled $46,362,603. By <br />signing the attached request, Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners acknolwedge their <br />funding amount and the total budget of RCCC. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion !f the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Authorize the Chairman of Board of Commissioners to sign on behalf of Cabarrus County <br />indicating that the College Budget attached has been reviewed and approved in the <br />amount of $46,362,603 (with specific County funding totalling $1,570,473). <br />Attachments ~ Yes ^ No Expected Length of Presentation <br />Submitted By: Pamela S.
