***EXISTING*** <br />• Chapfer Eleven Signage <br />• On-premise signage is allowed in the various zoning districts of Cabarrus <br />County as set forth in Table Seven, "Regulations for on-premise signage by zoning <br />district -number & maximum size", located at the end of this Chapter. It may be <br />either freestanding signage or attached to principal and accessory buildings. When <br />attached, it is considered a part of the structure and is subject to the height and <br />setback regulations governing the building. <br />r <br />DELETE <br /> <br /> <br /> •~ <br />Section 11-6. Off-premise signage. <br />Off premise signs within the County shall be allowed only when the <br />following conditions are met: <br />• PERMANENT OFF PREMISE DIRECTIONAL SIGNS <br />1. Permanent off premise directional signs shall be <br />limited to nonprofit organizations such as religious <br />institutions, civic organizations, and schools. <br />2. Prior to the issuance of a zoning compliance permit <br />for an off premise sign, a NCDOT permit must be <br />issued by the District Engineer's office, 716 West <br />Main Street, Albemarle, NC 28001 OFFICE PHONE <br />- 704-982-0105. <br />3. A location site plan shall be required to ensure sign <br />placement will not encroach in the NCDOT right of <br />way and sight distance triangle. <br />a. The site plan shall be drawn to scale showing <br />the property dimensions as well as the NCDOT <br />right of way. <br />4. Where two or more organizations operate from the <br />same building or site, a total of two (2) off premise <br />directional signs shall be allowed. <br />5. Signs shall not exceed six (6) square feet in size. <br />6. Signs shall not exceed four (4) feet in height <br />measured from the top of natural grade to the <br />11-11 <br />G•5 <br />
