CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 3/26/07 <br />Agenda Item # __~L- <br />SUBJECT: <br />Classification and Compensation Review <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />A comprehensive Classification and Compensation Review of County positions has been <br />completed by Springsted Incorporated. The final report with recommendations has been <br />provided for your review and consideration. The recommended classification changes are <br />based on updating required duties and qualifications, internal equity within and between <br />departments, and the market influence on recruiting and retaining quality employees. The <br />suggested changes result in a salary expense increase of $138,300.
