TASK 8 -MISCELLANEOUS <br />Under this task CDM will provide the following miscellaneous services: <br />1) Survey Coordination. Provide Concord Surveying (CESI) with a scope of work and <br />digital file of the planned closure area showing the approximate limits of waste. <br />2) Preliminary meeting with NCDENR Solid Waste Section to discuss permitable design <br />options, permeability requirements for the closure cap and alternate gas collection <br />system design in lieu of vertical gas wells installed in the waste. <br />3) Review Permits and previous Transition Plans to compare the current CESI survey with <br />permitted fill contours to determine whether areas have been either over filled or under <br />filled and whether reshaping of the existing C&D Landfill will be necessary. CDM will <br />prepare a Cadd generated plan comparing permitted versus existing fill contours with <br />point comparisons on a 50-foot grid showing the difference in elevation + or -from the <br />permitted fill contours, If needed, CDM along with representative(s) of Cabarrus <br />County, will meet with the Solid Waste Section to discuss any deviations from the <br />original permit. Meeting(s), if required, are not included under this task. <br />2. The responsibility of OWNER as described in Section 4 of said Agreement are amended <br />and supplemented as follows: <br />• Review project deliverables in a timely manner. <br />• Provide all required survey associated with the project. <br />• County to determine waste limits for closure by conducting a waste limits investigation <br />3, The time period for the performance of ENGINEER'S services as set forth in Section 4 of <br />said Agreement are amended as follows: <br />• CDM will begin Tasks 2, 3 and 4 within 2 weeks of receiving authorization to proceed. <br />4. The method of payment for services rendered by ENGINEER shall be as set forth below: <br />For the Basic Services performed by the ENGINEER under Section 1 of this Amendment, <br />OWNER agrees to pay ENGINEER the lump sum fee of 109 750 which is broken down as <br />follows.
