agency by the County or as a reimbursable expense to CDM, with the exception of <br />construction permit fees which shall be paid by the appropriate construction contractor(s). <br />Permit fees are not included in this amendment. <br />TASK 7 -BIDDING SERVICES <br />Once the Final Design Documents are accepted by Cabarrus County, CDM will provide services <br />to assist the County in the selection of a qualified bidder for the C&D Landfill closure <br />construction. All costs assume one bid opening. <br />1. Bid documents will be issued by CDM to Cabarrus County and all prospective bidders. <br />2. CDM will prepare such clarifications and addenda to the bid documents as may be required. <br />Clarifications and/or addenda will be provided to the County and all prospective bidders. <br />3. CDM will schedule and conduct one prebid conference with prospective bidders to review <br />the Project requirements. CDM will provide representative(s) from the design team, to <br />participate in the prebid conference to explain and clarify the bid documents. Following the <br />prebid conference, CDM will deliver to all recipients of bidding documents an Addendum to <br />document any changes(s) to the Construction Documents resulting from the prebid <br />conference. <br />4. CDM.will obtain and evaluate proposals from Contractors in strict compliance with <br />applicable North Carolina General Statutes. <br />5. CDM will review all proposals received and make written recommendations to Cabarrus <br />County relative to acceptance/rejection of proposals and award of the Contract to the lowest <br />responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time <br />specified in the proposals for performance of the Contract. <br />6. CDM will prepare and facilitate the execution of the contract documents by the Contractor <br />and Cabarrus County. CDM will complete the following items upon receipt of an executed <br />Notice of Award from the County: <br />Assist the County in reviewing the Contractor's executed Agreements including the <br />Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Financial Statement, Insurance coverage, etc., and <br />distribute fully executed Contract(s) to all parties once received back from the County, <br />and; <br />Prepare conformed Drawings and Specifications for the project incorporating <br />information in addenda issued during the bid phase and distribute the conformed <br />documents to the County and the Contractor. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />F-'l <br />
