CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 4/16/07 <br />Agenda Item # r -- ~ <br />SUBJECT: <br />Name Recommendation for New Cabarrus County Park <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On August 21, 2006, Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners approved a policy and <br />procedures for naming County Parks and Recreation facilites. Ten names were submitted <br />to Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission from October 1 thru November 16, <br />2006 for naming the new County park on Pharr Mill Road. On March 15, 2007, the <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission recommended the new County park <br />be named "Pharr Mill Road Park".
