Solid or viscous substances in amounu which will cause obstruction of
the POTW resulting in interference but in no case solids greater than one half inch in any dimension.
Prohibited materials include but are not limited to: gease, uncomminuted garbage, animal guts or
tissues, paunch manure, bones, hair, hides or fleshings, entrails, whole blood, feathers, ashes, cinders,
sand, spent li~ne, stone or mazble dust, metal, glass, straw, shavings, grass clippings, rags, spent
grains, spent'hops, wastepaper, wood, tar, plastic, asphalt residues, residues from refining or
processing of'fuel or lubricating oil, gound paper products, and material from grinders, residues or
solids from a pretreatment facility, and similaz substances.
(3) Petroleum, cutting or mineral oils. Any wastewater containing
pollutants, including o7cygen-demanding pollutants, (BOD, etc.), '° °~~'r°'°°« ~°°°':~. ~~~... ~~
sexisen~ien~ released in a discharee at a flow volume. flow rate and/or pollutant concentration
which, either singly or by interaction with other pollutants, to cause interference with the POTW.
(6) Temperature_ limit. My wastewater having a temperature geater than one hundred fifty Q50)
degrees Fahrenheit (sixty-six (66) degrees Celsius), or which will inhibit biological activiry in the
POTW treatment plant resulting in interference, but in no case wastewater which causes the
temperature at the introduction into the treahnent plant to exceed one hundred four (104) degrees
Fahrenheit (foity (40) degrees Celsius).
(7) Toxic gases. Any pollutants which result in the presence of toxic gases, vapors or fumes within the
POTW in a quantity that may cause acute worker health and safety problems.
(8) Truck or haqled pollutants.
