CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 7/23/07 Agenda Item # C - 3 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Proclamation -Mount Pleasant High School Received Omer's Award in the Odyssey of the <br />Mind 2007 World Finals <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Mount Pleasant High School team placed 6th in the Odyssey of the Mind 2007 World <br />Finals as well as receiving Omer's Award for exceeding expectations by incorporating a <br />highly technical device into a classics problem and showed exceptional engineering ability <br />at the same time. Students competing in the competition included the following: Wyatt <br />Algeier, Matt Enderlein, John Goff, Adam Newton, David Treadaway and Coach/Advisor <br />Mrs. Marnie Stoker.
