CABARRUSCOUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS Excellence in education is recognized by the Boazd as an important foundation to <br />Cabarrus County's future economic stability, and; <br />WHEREAS A team of students from Mount Pleasant High School dedicated personal time to <br />compete in the Odyssey of the Mind competition and advanced to the Odyssey of the Mind 2007 <br />World Finals, and; <br />WHEREAS The Mount Pleasant High School team is comprised of Wyatt Algeier, Matt <br />Enderlein, John Goff, Adam Newton, David Treadaway and Coach/Advisor Mrs. Mamie Stoker, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS The Mount Pleasant High School team placed 6`h in the competition as well as <br />received Omer's Award at the 2007 World Finals for exceeding expectations by incorporating a <br />highly technical device into a classics problem and showed exceptional engineering ability at the <br />same time; <br />NOW THEREFORE The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby recognize <br />Mount Pleasant High School's Odyssey of the Mind team and asks the residents of Cabarrus <br />County to join us in commending them for a job well done. <br />This the 23`d day of July, 2007. <br />Robert W.
