July 24, 2007 <br />To: John Day, Cabarrus County Manager <br />Mike Downs, Cabarrus County Deputy Manager <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />From: Londa Strong, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br />Subject: Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Matching Incentive Grant <br />Requests for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 <br />On June 21, 2007, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission <br />heard presentations from seven community groups requesting Cabarrus County <br />Matching Incentive Grant Funds. The total amount requested was $145,553. The FY <br />07-08 budget has $100,000 approved for expenditures. <br />On July 19, 2007, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission <br />unanimously approved the Property Committee recommendation for disbursement of <br />the $100,000.
