Lee, Budget & Performance Manager ~; <br />Date: August 27, 2007 ~, <br />Subject: Ongoing Projects BudgetAmendments <br />Each yeaz after Finance closes the books on the prior fiscal yeaz, there are some projects and grants <br />that need to be fransitioned to the new fiscal year. They were not budgeted for the new year typically <br />because either they were underway and anticipated to be completed before yeaz-end, or in the case of <br />grants, we need the exact fmal balance to bring into the new year after all outstanding bills were paid <br />in FY 07. <br />The budget amendments submitted with this agenda item represent the balance of funds for the <br />following projects: <br />Building Maintenance - $129,749 <br />Historic Courthouse Window Rehab -Time constraints and lack of available contractors caused <br />the project to be incomplete at year end. $40,000 <br />Senior Center HVAC Replacement and Multipurpose Room Door Replacement -Scheduling <br />issues with General Services, the confractor, as well as the Department of Aging caused this <br />project to be delayed. $60,000 <br />HVAC - 2"d Floor Govt Ctr - In process at end of yeaz, but not complete. $9,749 <br />Skylight Repairs -Govt Ctr -Delayed due to difficulty in fmding contractor-work to begin in <br />July. $20,000 <br />Emergency Management - $131,008 <br />Fire Incident Reporting System - $130,000 approved by Board mid-year that will link the <br />Volunteer Fire Departments and county's reporting database. This project is being coordinated <br />with the IT Department and could not be completed by yeaz end. <br />Wal Mart Educational Materials Grant - $1,008 unspent balance. <br />~-1 <br />
