Guidelines for required ethical <br />behaviors will be identified by senior tanagement and made available to all employees. <br />• Employment is a part of the ministry of Lutheran Family Services. A fair and safe work <br />environment consistent with all applicable state and federal guidelines and Council on <br />Accreditation standards will be maintained at all times. <br />• Management shall ensure that employees have the training uecossary to perform their work <br />and that career development opportunities are offered that allow employees to grow In their <br />vocation at Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas. Each service area shalt include in the <br />Service Manual pro-service and in-service requirements for each employee position within <br />the service area. The agency shall abide by federal and state rules, contracts and <br />recommendations of developers of curricula uscd within the agency for ht-house trainer <br />requirements. <br />• Hiring practices for staffing of programs in North Carolina that provide manta] health, <br />developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse services shall include a review of staff <br />qualifications to dctermino the level of treatmanUhabilitation privileges for each individual <br />employee. Clinical supervision, including supervision for staff that are not qualified <br />professionals and provide direct client services, shall be provided by a qualified professional <br />in the appropriate area of service. <br />• Lutheran Family Services is an equal opportunity employer.
