AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY <br />ZONING ORDINANCE (C2007-06-ZT) <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: <br />DELETE: <br />Section 5-7, Part E Special Standards for Amenity Subdivisions and replace with the <br />following language: <br />E. Special standards for amenity subdivisions <br />1. Subdivision design <br />a. Block elements <br />No block shall be longer than 600 feet in length unless amid-block <br />pedestrian and bicycle connection is provided, in which case the block <br />may extend up to 1,000 feet. Asingle-loaded street (houses on only one <br />side) shall not be restricted in length, provided that mid-block <br />pedestrian and bicycle connections are made at the rate of one for every <br />600 feet in length. <br />b. Residential collector streets <br />All residential collector streets shall be designed as parkways. <br />2. Site and building elements <br />All housing types shall comply with the following standards. <br />a. Roof overhang. <br />~' <br />I. Eaves shall extend beyond the <br />exterior face. <br />II. Gable end rakes shall overhang <br />beyond the exterior face. <br />III.
