CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 12/17/07 Agenda Item # ~ -Q <br />SUBJECT: <br />Information Technology -Budget Amendment (Use of Contingency Funds to Update <br />Addressing Data - $15,000) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />In comparing the current census address data to the County's address layer, it has come <br />to our attention that many new construction addresses are missing from their data. The <br />Census Bureau has very specific requirements by law on how to update this data and it <br />must be completed by April 1, 2008. This is an unbudgeted expense which we are <br />requesting to use the Board's contingency to hire a consultant to complete.
