<br />VERlFICA TION FOR ENTITLEMENTS (SAVE) system for <br />determining legal immigration status for benefit eligibility purposals, <br />and to report to the board any previous efforts to implement this law and <br />results of the same. <br /> <br />2. To direct the County Attorney to identify and research the <br />permissibility of policy reforms to enhance the enforcement of <br />immigration laws in Cabarrus County, reporting the results of such <br />analysis to the Board In 60 days with special attention to the following: <br /> <br />A. With respect to nonprofit charitable organizations which the county <br />contracts for the provision of services, permissible methodology for <br />obtaining sufficient identifying information about service recipients to <br />enable the County to verify their qualified alien status; <br /> <br />B. Imposing requirement on for-profit persons or entities from whom <br />the county contracts goods or services (including services rendered to <br />members ofthe public) to verify the eligibility under PRWORA oftheir <br />employees (third party services recipients) and disqualifying any <br />contractor from County business for failure to meet such requirements; <br />and <br /> <br />C. To review the feasibility of requiring all Cabarrus County employers <br />work with the US Dep~ment of Homeland Security's newly created <br />program which is designed to stop illegal aliens from getting jobs <br />and allows for the v~rification of employees' identity and in <br />particular social security numbers.. <br /> <br />!
