<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 2/20/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # 1="- II <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Sewer line easement at Concord Middle School <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />A private development company desires to purchase a short easement to construct a <br />sewer line across a portion of Cabarrus County property at Concord Middle School of NC <br />73 East Cabarrus County Schools representatives have negotiated a sale price of $5000. <br />In the past, money from such sales have been designated for the use of the affected <br />school, which in this case would also include Irvin Elementary. The sewer line easement <br />will be dedicated to the utility provider, the City of Concord, after construction of the line. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion If the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Approve the sale of the sewer line easement for $5000 with execution of the easement <br />agreement by the County Manager. <br /> <br />Approve the required budget amendment to transfer those funds to Cabarrus County <br />Schools for use by Concord Middle and Irvin Elementary. <br /> <br />Attachments 1&1 Yes D No Expected Length of Presentation <br /> <br />Submitted By: Jonathan B.
