During the <br />design phases o.f the building, a Furniture Plan shall be develo.ped that integrates with <br />the development ofiarchitectural and engineering design. Nine months prio.r to. <br />co.nstruction complatio.n, the Furniture Plan will be finalized by the Architect and the <br />Owner alo.ng with Specifications to. be used fo.r Acquisitlo.n o.f furniture. As the building <br />nears Substantiai Completio.n. furniture systems can be installed and connected to. <br />po.wer and vo.ice/data systems as needed. The tasks asso.ciated with this service are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. Conceptual Furniture Planning <br /> <br />. The purpose; of this phase is to. develop the furniture space plan. Based on the <br />approved flobr plan by the architect the Consultant will develop a list o.f new <br />furniture req~ired with associated Co.st estimates. The Consultant anticipates two <br />meetings with the Architect and Owner. <br /> <br />. The Co.nsuitant wili meet with the Co.unty's representatives to program functional <br />needs fo.r furniture. Programming will include to.uring existing spaces and asking <br />the designated representatives about their specific furniture needs and wili take <br />piece over one business day. <br /> <br />. The Consult$nt will then space plan the furniture based o.n the programmatic <br />needs. <br /> <br />. The Co.nsult~nt wili develo.p the co.re elements o.f "typicals" for the o.ffices and <br />wo.rkstatio.ns. <br /> <br />. The Consultant will create an Excel do.cument o.utlining the scope o.f new <br />furniture to. be purchased fo.r budgeting purpo.ses. <br /> <br />. The Consult$nt will place the furniture blo.ck plans o.n a CAD base drawing for <br />use in io.cati~g electrical & vo.ice/data o.utlets. <br /> <br />2. Specification & \6.cquisition Process <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Nine months'prior to project completio.n, The Consuitant will resume furniture <br />work. The Cqnsultant will determine which products are then available o.n State <br />Contract to f~lfill the County's needs. The Co.nsultant will select furniture finishes <br />and co.lors b~sed o.n the facility design. The Co.nsultant will assist the architect in <br />a presentatid)1 to the County for final written approvai by the Owner. <br /> <br />Based on th~ appro.vals, The Consultant will develo.p detailed specificatio.ns fo.r <br />each o.f the it~ms to be purchased. The specifications include state co.ntract <br />informatio.n, rihanufacturer, mo.del. size, co.lo.r/finish and any other requirements <br />for o.rdering. ' <br /> <br />The ConsultEjnt will compile the specificatio.ns into bulk o.rders by manufacturer. <br />The o.rder pr~cess will include cross references for ro.om piacement.
