We have enjoyed performing the Feasibility Study which was at no cost to Cabarrus <br />County, and look forward to continuing our relationship through the Schematic Design Phase of the project. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL <br /> <br />The following proposal for Schematic Design Services shall be as generally described in the AlA Document B141 - 1997 <br />version, Article 2.4 Desion Services, Section 2.4.2 Schematic Desion Documents. The documents shall include a <br />preliminary site plan, building floor plan and building elevations that establish the scope, interior room relationships, form, <br />size and appearance of the proposed project. The existing buildings' structural systems will be evaluated for adequacy <br />to support the proposed renovations. In addition, the fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be <br />described in a schematic nature. The Architect shall also submit to the Owner a preliminary estimate of Construction Cost <br />based upon the Scope of Work indicated in the Schematic Design Documents and known current data. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Based on the above, it is our intention to comply with the Scope of Design Services as outlined. In addition, the following <br />specific items are to be considered as directed by the County Staff and Bethel Investigative Committee: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Basic remedial work to the roof and windows of the existing 3 story Classroom Building (Building "A") to prevent further <br />water damage and vandalism to help preserve the building for future renovations. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Demolition of the existing Cafeteria and Vocational Buildings (Buildings "D" and "E"). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Renovations of the existing Gymnasium Building (Building "B") for use as the same. <br /> <br />Renovations of Existing one-story Classroom Building (Building "C") for use as a Library an~ ~~nity meeting <br />rooms, including a Town Hall meeting space and office for the Clerk of Midland. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Site improvements, including parking and storm drainage, to support the renovated Gymnasium and Library.
