<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # e:- - 2- <br /> <br />Meeting Date 4/17/06 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Update - Proposed Committee to Study Issues Related to Immigration <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />In January the Board asked the county manager to discuss the establishment of an <br />committee to study issues related to immigration with members of the Cross Cutting <br />Initiatives group. This group includes representatives from human service agencies and <br />the two school systems. The group has been informed of the Board's request, but has not <br />had the opportunity to discuss it. It will meet again on April 1 Oth, and will consider the <br />Board's request, it time permits.
