<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 5/15/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # "F - ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus Arena and Events Center Maintenance, Repair and Improvements <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Several pressing maintenance, repair and improvement items have emerged at the Arena <br />and Events Center. Staff requests using fund balance in the arena fund to cover the <br />expense of completing the work. The work includes replacing an HVAC unit at the fair <br />office, placing additional lighting at the midway, repairing several areas where the <br />concrete walks have cracked and have become safety hazards, repairing a number of roof <br />leaks in the Arena and Gold Hall buildings and creating a much needed storage/office <br />space in the lower level of the arena.
