Medical Records o NEMC will maintain all medical records in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HlPAA). NEMC is currently implementing electronic medical records within its Physician Network and Medical Center. This will allow continuity of care if the patient is seen at the Employee Health Clinic or another NEMC Physician Office and is admitted to the hospital. This system will track electronically all patient information related to the visit and is compliant with all HIP AA guidelines. If patient information is requested, it is required that a Medical Release Form be completed in full and is sigued by the patient. . Liability Insurance o NEMC will secure the following liability insurance and the appropriate amounts as identified by the request for proposal. NEMC will provide all documentation related to these policies. . Automobile Liability . Commercial General Liability . Medical Malpractice Insurance Minimum amount will be $3 Million / $3 Million . Workers' Compensation Insurance . Commitment and Communication o NEMC will work closely with Cabarrus County and the appropriate personnel to ensure success ofthe program.
