Murphy, CIRS-A ~~ <br />May 30, 2006 <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Food Vendor for the LunchPlus Club program <br /> <br />Enclosed please find the contract with Canteen Vending Services for FY'2007 for catering <br />services for our LunchPlus Club program. This contract represents the first of two possible <br />renewals following the competitive bid process conducted prior to our current FY06 contract. <br />The attached contract includes an increase of22!t per meal due to the increase in fuel prices and <br />the reduction in meals purchased due to the decline in participation at our Kannapolis LunchPlus <br />Club program since we have relocated from the Cannon Memorial YMCA facility. <br /> <br />The funding for this contract is currently included in our FY'2007 proposed budget. No <br />additional funding will be necessary to implement this contract. The rate increase included in <br />this contract will be offset by the reduction in meals purchased in Kannapolis. <br /> <br />On behalf of the Cabarrus County Department of Aging, I respectfully request approval of the <br />attached LunchPlus Club contract with Canteen Vending Services for FY'2006. We have <br />developed a good working relationship with this company and our participants are very pleased <br />with the food served through this program. <br /> <br />Thank you for your time and consideration.
