<br />agency for the municipalities within the county, provided Cabarrus County will continue <br />to fund the following core services. In addition, the private sector will contribute to cover <br />any additional revenue needs to provide these activities listed immediately below: <br /> <br />Activities: <br />1. Maintain an updated listing of all industrial buildings and sites that are available in <br />Cabarrus County to provide prospects with quick and accurate responses to needs. <br />2. Coordinate with land representatives (brokers, landowners etc) to provide all <br />necessary information ori properties that meet prospect criteria. <br />3. Coordinate with municipal and county staff to provide information useful in positioning <br />sites and buildings as m~st suitable. <br />4. During prospect visits, make persuasive presentations on the viability of all Cabarrus <br />County properties that meet prospect criteria. <br />5. Involve municipal and county representatives in presentations to prospects as <br />appropriate. <br />6. Follow-up with representatives and prospects. <br />7. Aggressively work witl1l municipal, County, and State existing industry representatives <br />to develop a program to identify existing businesses in Cabarrus County planning to <br />expand and work with companies to support expansion efforts. <br />8. Support these existing businesses by developing an internal marketing program and <br />maintaining a database to facilitate the matching of manufacturers, vendors and <br />purchasers. Conduct a survey of local business needs and make personal contact with <br />60 area companies to identify specific needs and problems and to market business <br />assistance programs and services. Provide follow-up problem solving/expansion <br />consulting services to existing local businesses <br />9. Meet regularly with Charlotte Partnership and NC Department of Commerce <br />representatives responsible for national and international recruitment. <br />10. Prepare materials for prospect requests for municipal and county officials as <br />needed. <br />11. Make presentations to prospects when they visit Cabarrus County. <br />12. Make joint existing industry calls and coordinate with County and State programs <br />with similar objectives a~ it relates to Cabarrus County businesses. <br />13. Provide monthly written program updates to Cabarrus County and municipal staffs <br />and elected officials. <br />14. Participate in events sponsored by the Charlotte Regional Partnership, North <br />Carolina Department of Commerce and other regional economic groups. Expand <br />international trade by. participating in foreign trade missions or call trips and <br />educational/informational conferences related to international trade. <br />15. Participation with and support of organizations that are tied to Cabarrus County or <br />our targeted industries FInd have an economic development presence in the County, <br />such as the North Carolira Motorsports Association. <br />16. Make a presentation to North Carolina Department of Commerce staff at least <br />annually updating and: highlighting events and development opportunities in the <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />2 <br />F-l\ <br />
