<br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work <br /> <br />Delineated on the following pages is the proposed project approach and <br />study methodology. The scope of services, tasks and staffing necessary <br />to complete this project successfully were discussed in previous sections <br />of this proposal. The project approach was developed to include <br />significant employee involvement and is subject to adjustment if it is <br />determined that more employee involvement is necessary or desirable. <br /> <br />1. Prolect Initiation. Data Collection <br /> <br />The Springsted project director will meet with the County Manager, <br />Director of Human Resources and other appropriate officials to <br />establish working relationships and to finalize a comprehensive work <br />pllll1-and timp.table...-AlLcurrent classification. .C!LillplIllli!ltion and,__,__ <br />benefit data will be assembled and evaluated to determine the status <br />of existing human resource management programs and to identify <br />apparent issues and opportunities. <br /> <br />After meeting with the County Manager and Director of Human <br />Resources a staff meeting will be held with department directors and <br />supervisors to discuss the project objectives and procedures, to <br />distribute and explain the use of Position Analysis Questionnaires <br />(provided by Springsted), and to schedule their distribution, <br />collection, review and verification. <br /> <br />In addition, individual interviews will be conducted with each <br />department director to review organizational arrangements, mission, <br />goals and objectives and to determine what chaUenges, if any, they <br />are experiencing with the existing classification and compensation <br />system. <br /> <br />Springsted is sensitive to the human relations aspects of studies <br />of this nature. In accordance with this sensitivity, the consulting <br />team proposes that they conduct a series of orientation and <br />information sessions for aU employees. The sessions would be <br />scheduled at various times to aUow employees to attend without <br />requiring too many to be absent from the workplace at anyone time. <br />During these sessions, project objectives and procedures will be <br />discussed, questions answered and comments and suggestions <br />solicited. <br /> <br />F- f 3 Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
