<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 9/25/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />r-4 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Budget Amendments - Elections <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />1) The first budget amendment reduces the grant budgets for Voting Equipment and <br />Software by $554,000. The County will still receive the equipment, however, the State will <br />purchase the equipment directly, rather than dispursing the funds to the Counties, as <br />orignially planned. 2) The second amendment approriates fund balance from the <br />General Fund for the balance of the County's contribution for ADA maintenance to voting <br />sites($25,621).
