<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/30/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # f"-5 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Gang Investigations Grant <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />This budget amendment is to appropriate funds to be received from the NC Dept. of Crime <br />Control & Public Safety for the Gang Investigations Grant (013-1-06-001-BH-388). The <br />Sheriffs Office will use the funds to offset the overtime expense incurred by our detectives <br />and patrol officers who are establishing a database that will aid in the identification of <br />gangs and their individual members.
