<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 12/18/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # E- 2.. <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Reversal of GMP #3 and Approval of Change Orders #5 and #6 on Sheriff and Detention <br />Center Construction Project <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Due to an appeal filed on November 20, Phase II of this project has been delayed. (See <br />explanation of the reversal transfers on attached.) Also, due to requirements of the City of <br />Concord, additional items that are outside the original scope of the project are also <br />needed: 1) Change Order #5 - (COR#9) Two additional spandrel windows required on the <br />side of the Annex facing Union St. ($30,461.40); (COR#19) A Grinder Pump required to <br />be installed on the waterwater (sewer) line of the Annex ($63,848.83); and 2) Change <br />Order #6 (COR#16) Additional Site Drainage ($15,868,89). <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br /> <br />Approve the budget revision which includes cancellation cost of $67,062, additional owner <br />cost estimated at $150,000, contingency funding for future needs of $650,000, and <br />$110,180 for requested change orders. <br /> <br />Attachments [&] Yes D No Expected Length of Presentation <br /> <br />Submitted By: Pamela S.
