Amanda spoke very highly of the operation that SMG runs at the Palmetto Expo <br />Center. She stated that they have the same focus as the CVB, to fill hotel rooms. <br />.:. They do not meet with the Expo Center on an individual basis and discuss <br />business potential. <br />.:. Anything that has room nights attached with they refer over to the CVB. <br />.:. The CVB has an agreement that anything that comes more than 12-months out the <br />CVB gives approval for the event. <br />.:. Amanda stated that promoters and planners are very pleased with the service level <br />given by SMG and continue to come back to the Palmetto Expo Center. <br />.:. She also stated that SMG does work with the CVB on with rates on the facility. <br /> <br />Savannah, GA - Savannah International Trade and Convention Center <br />Dirke Von Hollen, VP of Sales <br />Dirke and I communicated by email. <br />.:. Dirke commented that they have a good partnership with SMG and they work <br />closely together to put heads in beds. <br />.:. The CVB has control ofthe booking 18 months and beyond. <br />.:. He said the majority ofthe clients are happy with the performance ofSMG. <br />.:. They do partner with SMG on Tradeshows, sales missions and F AMs. <br /> <br />Florence, SC - Florence Civic Center <br />Linda Jordan, Director of the Florence CVB <br />I was not able to speak to Linda directly, we played phone tag; She did leave a message <br />and said she loved working with SMG at the Florence Civic Center. She said they bring <br />in quality events and do a great job. <br /> <br />Gwinnett, GA - Gwinnett Civic Center <br />Caryn Rachke, Executive Director of Gwinnett CVB <br />Caryn used to be Director of Sales and Marketing for the Gwinnett Civic Center. <br />.:. At Gwinnett they have a very good working relationship with the center. <br />.:. The Gwinnett CVB Board actually oversees the center in Gwinnett and the <br />manager at the Center reports to the board. <br />.:. SMG provides joint marketing opportunities. <br />.:. The staff and management at center meet on a quarterly basis. <br />.:. The center is very aware of room night generation, but'this has just started in the <br />past three years. <br />.:. The CVB has it in their agreement with center that they have final say so on the <br />General Manager. <br />.:. They do partner at tradeshows together. <br /> <br />'S <br />
