parking area down and around the concession stand. In addition we will create a player
drop off area at the tree and rock just beyond the outfield fencing.

This proposal calls for a substantial amount of money and we hope to begin fund raising
in the beginning of2005. There are a number oflarge corporations in the area that favor
donating money to local children's charities and we hope they will be excited to partner
with us. The Miracle League annual budget would be an on-going fundraiser with a
portion of the funding coming from the participating families. We will also establish a
scholarship fund, so that no matter the situation, NO child will be turned away. We are
requesting that Cabarrus County donate the land for the field, provide general
maintenance and clean up of the area, and cover the cost of the electricity for the lights.

The Miracle League chilqren with special needs will not be the only ones who benefit
from the action on the field. Through the "buddy" program, youth players and
cornmunity volunteers will partner with our players to provide assistance and
encouragement on the field. This partnership benefits both parties as they share the great
American pastime to find cornmon ground and, most importantly, friendships. It is truly
a Grand Slam - The children benefit, the parents, the buddies and the community because
the Miracle League begitis to bring normality to these players and their families.

Please join our team and see the miracles that can happen.

David Darwin
President, Miracle Leagne of Concord

F:-J 7

The Miracle League of Concord
120 Church St. N
Concord, NC 28025
(704) 795c2012
