"PARK WATCH"
PROGRAM

The Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department and Concord Police,
Kannapolis Police, and Cabarrus County Sheriffs Departments have started the plans to
implement a "Park Watch" program.

In the design and implementation process, all Cabarrus County Parks have been
identified in the "Park Watch" program. Those parks are Frank Liske Park, North
Cabarrus Park, and Camp T. N. Spencer Park.

The "Park Watch" program is similar to the Neighborhood Community Watch
Program, which involves citizens reporting to the Police Department any suspicious or
criminal activity occurring in the Parks.

The purpose of this program is to assist in reducing vandalism and abuse of
facilities along with helping to make our parks safe and enjoyable for our citizens to use
and enjoy. The program is also intended to assist the Parks with identifying and reporting
any safety or maintenance concerns in the Parks.

Citizens are asked to call 911 to report any criminal activity in the parks. Citizens
DO NOT have to give their name when reporting an incident. Citizens are also asked to
report safety or maintenance concerns to the Park office at 704-920-2700.

The Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department and our local law
enforcement departments hope our citizens will help us to keep our parks free from
vandalism, drugs, and abuse.

j::"; ?-b
