During my review I <br />noticed that the current agreement is to expire on June 30, 2005. Therefore, assuming <br />that the county would like to continue this relationship, I have drafted a new agreement <br />with a term of five additional years. I have included the amount of compensation from <br />the county to be $43,408.00. This equates to 100% of the director's salaryfbenefits and is <br />noted in the County's 2006 Operating Budget. The current funding is 75% of the salary <br />and the Board of Education has requested 100%. Kelli Embler, our local director, <br />continues to do an excellent job. So good, she was named Program Director of the Year <br />for the State of North Carolina. Our local program continues to be very successful as <br />well with the addition of events available throughout the year and the number of <br />participants traveling throughout the state to compete in these events. <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners discussed this item at their work session on May 2, 2005. <br />At that time they reviewed the revised agreement and recommended that it be placed on <br />the consent agenda ofthe regular meeting scheduled for May 23, 2005. <br /> <br />Thanks! <br /> <br />F-~';;).. <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br />IOR1II CAROUIIA <br /> <br />@ <br /> <br />Cabarrus County. 65 Church Street, SE .
