<br />3. Solicitation. The County will continue to reasonably assist the Schools with <br />soliciting the support, both physically and monetarily, of all other local <br />governmental agencies (i.e., ARC of Cabarrus County, Piedmont <br />Rehabilitation Development Center, YMCA, Cabarrus Workshop, Cabarrus <br />County Group Homes, Concord Parks and Recreation Department, and other <br />departments within the County structure). <br /> <br />4. Comoensation. The County will compensate the Schools for its services <br />hereunder a sum of forty three thousand, four hundred and eight dollars <br />($43,408.00), for each of the five (5) years of this agreement. The fee for <br />each year will be paid in advance to the Schools on or before July 15 of each <br />respective year. However, in the event this Agreement is terminated during a <br />fiscal year by the Schools, the Schools shall promptly reimburse the County <br />for any unused fees on a prorate basis. In any year during the term of this <br />agreement, if it should appear that the annual compensation is insufficient for <br />the operation of the Program, then the Schools may request additional funding <br />from the County as needed, subject to the approval of the Board of County <br />Commissioners and the Board of Education. <br /> <br />5. Suooort. The County will provide the Schools with maintenance setup <br />support from the Cabarrus County General Services Department, through <br />support and provision of tents, stages, snow fences, lining off, and other <br />Spring Games preparations, consistent with the past maintenance of the <br />Program; and other related events that may be scheduled throughout the term <br />of this agreement. <br /> <br />6. Transoortation. The County will make available the Cabarrus County <br />Transportation vans for Special Olympics activities and programs. <br /> <br />SCHOOLS RESPONSffiILITlES <br /> <br />I. Oualitv. The Schools will continue the Program in a manner meeting or <br />exceeding the quality of the administration of the Program during the <br />previous five (5) year agreement. <br /> <br />2. Finances. The Schools will assume all financial responsibilities of the <br />Program, subject to the limitations enumerated in Item 4 of the COUNTY <br />OBLIGATIONS section above, and will supply the County with acurrent <br />financial statement of the Program upon request. The Schools Special <br />Olympics Coordinator shall assume all financial responsibilities relating to <br />the North Carolina Special Olympics State Pool Banking Account. <br /> <br />3. General Resoonsibilities. The Schools will continue to be responsible for the <br />overall organization of the Program during the entire term of this Agreement. <br /> <br />FJ..~ <br />
