3. Solicitation. The County will continue to reasonably assist the Schools with soliciting the support, both physically and monetarily, of all other local governmental agencies (i.e., ARC of Cabarrus County, Piedmont Rehabilitation Development Center, YMCA, Cabarrus Workshop, Cabarrus County Group Homes, Concord Parks and Recreation Department, and other departments within the County structure). 4. Comoensation. The County will compensate the Schools for its services hereunder a sum of forty three thousand, four hundred and eight dollars ($43,408.00), for each of the five (5) years of this agreement. The fee for each year will be paid in advance to the Schools on or before July 15 of each respective year. However, in the event this Agreement is terminated during a fiscal year by the Schools, the Schools shall promptly reimburse the County for any unused fees on a prorate basis. In any year during the term of this agreement, if it should appear that the annual compensation is insufficient for the operation of the Program, then the Schools may request additional funding from the County as needed, subject to the approval of the Board of County Commissioners and the Board of Education. 5. Suooort. The County will provide the Schools with maintenance setup support from the Cabarrus County General Services Department, through support and provision of tents, stages, snow fences, lining off, and other Spring Games preparations, consistent with the past maintenance of the Program; and other related events that may be scheduled throughout the term of this agreement. 6. Transoortation. The County will make available the Cabarrus County Transportation vans for Special Olympics activities and programs. SCHOOLS RESPONSffiILITlES I. Oualitv. The Schools will continue the Program in a manner meeting or exceeding the quality of the administration of the Program during the previous five (5) year agreement. 2. Finances. The Schools will assume all financial responsibilities of the Program, subject to the limitations enumerated in Item 4 of the COUNTY OBLIGATIONS section above, and will supply the County with acurrent financial statement of the Program upon request. The Schools Special Olympics Coordinator shall assume all financial responsibilities relating to the North Carolina Special Olympics State Pool Banking Account. 3. General Resoonsibilities. The Schools will continue to be responsible for the overall organization of the Program during the entire term of this Agreement. FJ..~
