<br />Roger Le~~z, Planning ~nd Zoning Manager, reported the following
<br />parties have ag*eed to contribute funding towards the Christenbury Parkway
<br />road project: C~barrus County - $250,000.00, North Carolina Department of
<br />Transportation (~CDOT) - $200,000. 00, and Rhein Interest _ $250,000.00. Due
<br />to a ,delay inp~an approval-and additional NCDOT requirements, the estimated
<br />cost for this iproject has increaaed' from $700,000.00 to $826,000.00.
<br />Christenbury Fa~B is willing to provide funding for the remaining cost
<br />provided there ~s an, agreement with the Board that ,any ,amount of funds
<br />provided shall be credited' as a contribution to address school adequacy when
<br />the property i. developed. A letter tram KarinethL. Christenbury of
<br />Christenbury Fa~s, Inc., was included as part of the Agenda.
<br />
<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Suggs, seconded by Commissioner J?'rivette
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the offer for funding fiom
<br />Christenbury Fa~s for the Christenbury Parkway, with the funding to be
<br />credited to any ~iability for school adequacy once the property is developed.

<br />the Board appointed Marcus Smith (BusineaB Community) for a three-year term
<br />ending April 30) 2007, appointed Ben Small (Defense Attorney Position) to
<br />complete an unex~ired term ending April 30,2005; and appointed Robert Davis
<br />(vacant positionL for Community Based Corrections) to the Board fora term
<br />ending April 30, ~006.
