Ms. Mynatt is willing to <br />be reappointed, and we respectfully request that she be reappointed in her own right at <br />your next meeting scheduled May 16. Attached is a copy ofthe newspaper article <br />covering Ms. Mynatt's ~ppointment in January 2005. <br /> <br />Irvin Newberrv , , <br />Irvin Newberry was appointed on August 17, 1998, to fill out the remaining three years <br />of Lynn Scott Safrit's four-year term, and was reappointed in his own right in June 2001. <br /> <br />As you know, Irvin has been a member of the board and a director of the RCCC <br />Foundation since 1998. :He has served as the Vice Chairman of the board since August <br />1999. He has long beenian active community leader. Irvin Newberry is willing to serve, <br />and we respectfully reqtjest that he be reappointed at your next meeting. Attached is a <br />copy of the newspaper aliicle covering Irvin Newberry's reappointment in June 2001. <br /> <br />Carolyn, you may recahthat several years ago we addressed the fact that the Cabarrus <br />County policy of limiting service on boards to six years does not apply to Rowan- ' <br />Cabarrus Community College, which is a separate autonomous entity-and does not have <br />the same relationship to ~he County Commission as other agencies, which are primarily <br /> <br />J-/ - I <br />
