<br />THIS AGREEM:ENT,made' and entered into ~ of the '.. 23 day of
<br />A.pril ,2001, between the CABARRUS ,SOGCER ASSOCIATION ("CSA"), a
<br />North Carolina youth athletic orgamzation, the CITY OJ!' CQNCORD, a North Carolina
<br />M11Iricipal Corporation (the "CitY,) and CABARRUS .COUNTY, a, politicai subdivision
<br />of the State of North Carolina (the' "County") (hereafter, this doc=ent may be referred
<br />to as the "Agreement").

<br />WITNESSETH
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County encourages public and private cooperative funding of
<br />public recreation facilities and iniprov=ents;and ,. .

<br />WHEREAS, on or about the 23rd day o:fFe"Qru.wy, 2000, the County entered in
<br />to a2~ year'lease with the State of North Caro1jna(the "Lease") for approXimately 39.60
<br />acres adjacenfto Stonewall Jackson, Cabarrus Coimty, N.C., for the purpose of .
<br />developi;o.g' a soccer .complexcansisting of approximately i 1 new soccer fields and all
<br />necessary and attendant grading, seeding, drainage,. outbUildings, infrastructures and.
<br />facilities including without limitation, par.k:i:IJ,g, restrooms and storage facilities (the
<br />"Complex"); a:nd .

<br />WHEREAS, the Complex will be accessibie for use by all residents of the
<br />Coilnty, including without limitation, residentsoftbe City and individuals participating in
<br />soccer teams a:nd acti~ties spoDSOTedby CSA; :therefore, CSA and the City, pursuant. to
<br />the terms arid conditions more fully. set fqrth oelow, wish to contribute financia1).y toward.
<br />the design arid development of the Complex and have agreed, over a period of3 years
<br />begi:oning January 1,2001, to each contribute $300,000 in cash toward deferral of
<br />Complex desigD. and construction costs, .for a combined. total contribution of $!i00,000 by
<br />the City and CSA." .

<br />valuable consideration acknowledged by the parties to be sufficient, the City, CSA and
