Special Meetings <br /> <br />2.1 <br /> <br />The Chairperson may call such special meetings as deemed <br />Necessary to carry out the duties of the Council. <br /> <br />2.2 <br /> <br />Notice ofspecial meetings shall be given to all members of the <br />Council in writing or by telephone at least three (3) days in <br />advance. <br /> <br />Article V: <br /> <br />COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Standing Committees <br /> <br />The Chairperson shall appoint at leasttwo (2) members of the Council to each <br />of the following standing committees: <br /> <br />1.1 Planning Committee. whose purpose shall be to plan and carry out <br />the process of determining the needs of youth of Cabarrus County <br />and putting those needs in priority order. <br /> <br />1.2 Program Committee whose purpose shall be to make <br />recommendations for the use of community-based alternatives <br />funds. <br /> <br />1.3 Evaluation Committee whose purpose shall be to gather <br />information about existing programs and monitors the performance <br />of these programs. <br /> <br />1.4 Public Awareness Committee whose purpose shall be to keep <br />youth-serving agencies, appropriate governmental and community <br />boards, and the general public aware of existing services and the <br />unmet needs in the community. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Additional Committees <br /> <br />> <br /> <br />The Chairperson may at Ilis/her discretion appoint any other committees <br />wllich he/she deems necessary to carry out the general purpose of the Council. <br /> <br />F-t <br />
