<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />FOR <br />FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT AND PRE-DESIGN SERVICES <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County requests qualified firms to submit <br />proposals for Feasibility Assessment and Pre-design Services for the Old Bethel <br />Elementary School located at 2240 Highway 24/27, Midland, NC. Please submit three <br />copies of your proposal to the Purchasing Agent by 2:00 p.m., September 16, 2005. <br />A public opening and reading of the proposals will be held in the Board of <br />Commissioners Meeting Room, Governmental Center, 65 Church Street, SE, 2nd Floor, <br />Concord, NC 28025 at that time. Following is the Scope of Services expected to be <br />included in submitting your proposal. <br /> <br />In addition, the firm selected may also be asked to examine other reports or perform <br />other services as required. Please submit a Fee Schedule associated with these type <br />services. <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners will award a contract in compliance with North Carolina <br />General Statutes. <br /> <br />Selected County staff and the County Manager shall review and evaluate proposals <br />from all interested firms and make recommendations for selection to the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />A. Prepare basic existing conditions drawings as compiled from existing site and <br />building drawings and field observations. <br /> <br />B. Conduct programming interviews with representatives of proposed building <br />occupants. Occupants may include county and municipal offices and community <br />organizations. <br /> <br />C. Develop a Program of Spaces for comparison with existing available spaces. <br /> <br />D. Determine applicable regulatory requirements for the project. These may include <br />Zoning, NCDOT, Planning, Construction Standards, NC Department of <br />Environment and Natural Resources, and Department of Insurance. <br /> <br />E- 3 <br />
