<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 9/19/05 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) - 2004-2005 Ralph Ketner <br />Employee Productivity Awards Program <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />At the NCACC meeting, a group of Cabarrus County employees received a $1,000 award <br />for the SNIP (Spay/Neuter Improvements for Pets) program, which has created a more <br />humane alternative to euthanasia while providing future potential savings to the County by <br />reducing future offspring in the pet population. The Department of Social Services hosts <br />this program as a service to low-income pet owners.
