<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 9/19/05 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ...1=", S <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Reclassify a position associated with the 4-H SOS Goldminer Afterschool Program <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The 4-H SOS Program requests to reclassify a part-time temporary clerical assistant to a <br />full-time permanent administrative assistant. Program enrollment has increased 135% from <br />the same time last year. Our Cabarrus sites at JN Fries, Mt. Pleasant and Concord Middle <br />lead the state with increased grades and End of Grade Test scores. This professional <br />position will allow enhancement of the program and leverage additional support. Funding <br />is provided through appropriation of reserved grant funds.
