<br />Maintain files for three (3) SOS sites. This includes all forms completed by each student in the SOS program; <br />Occasionally visit sites to collect checks and other information; Prepare HR paperwork as needed for request to <br />fill vacancy, request to hire, new hire and termination; <br />Performs related tasks as required; <br />Assist as needed on special projects in the Extension office; Participate in the Extension Service's preparation for <br />the county fair. Responsibility in the past has been to help with the preparation of the youth exhibits for the fair <br />including taking youth fair entries and arranging youth entries for display during the fair; Act as back-up during <br />the 4-H SOS Program Director absences. <br /> <br />KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and secretarial techniques; thorough <br />knowledge of business English, speUing and arithmetic; thorough knowledge of the organization and functions of <br />the department and of general administrative policies and practices; ability to keep office records and to prepare <br />accurate reports from file sources; ability to perform and organize work independently; ability to type and <br />transcribe dictation; ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office <br />management details without referral to supervisor; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships <br />with associates and the general public. <br /> <br />EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: <br />Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school including or <br />supplemented by course work in secretarial science and extensive experience in office assistance work. <br /> <br />t:-s <br />
