Peach Orchard Estates Preliininary Plat Extension <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Lentz: <br /> <br />We would like to extend the preliminary plat approval for our. Subdivision Peach Orchard <br />Estates. Our original appro~al was on January 15th, 2004. The design process, as well as <br />the approval process by Mecklenburg County has taken a lot longer than we anticipated. <br />So there is no confusion by the Planning Commission, this sub.division straddles the <br />Mecklenburg/Cabarrus COl.inty Lines. We were trying to make sure that the two counties <br />involved were in agreemenfwith our plans. Mecklenburg County finally approved the <br />Preliminary Subdivision Plans on July 8,2005. . <br /> <br />With this in ll1ind, our Lending Institution would not agree to a Development Loan <br />without Final Approvals from both counties. Therefore, we were not able to begin <br />construction on the project.: Now our fear is that we cannot complete construction by our <br />expiration of the original Preliminary Plat Approval. We would like to ask the Planning <br />Commission for an extension of two years from the date of our expiration. <br /> <br />Peach Orchard Estates is usiing a private water and sewer system which is maintained and <br />operated by Bradfield Farm~ Water Company.
