Perform other re.1ated tasks or duties assigned by the COUllty <br />commissioners. <br /> <br />Public Hearings on condemnation of fannland- <br />An ordinance adopted under the Voluntary Agricultural Dist.lict statute mtlY provide: <br />that no State or local public agency or governmental unit may formally inil iate any <br />action to condemn any intcrest in qualifying fannlandwithin a voluntary <br />agricultural district until such agency has reques~d the local agricultural. (Idvisory <br />board holds a public hearing on the proposed condemnation. <br />a. Following a public hearing, the board shall prepare and submit <br />written findings and a recommendation to the decision-making <br />body of the agency proposing acquisition . <br />b. The board designated to hold the hearing shall have 30 days <br />after receiving a request under this section to hold the public <br />hearing and submit its findings and recommendations 1., the <br />agency . <br />c. The agency may not formally initiate a condemnation III'lion <br />while the proposed condemnation is properly, before thl' advisory <br />borcdwithin these time limitations <br /> <br />Enhanced V oJuntary Agricultural Districts <br /> <br />The pw-pose of establishing an enhanced voluntary agricultural district is to allow, I county <br />to provide additional benefits to farmland beyond that available in a voluntary agr".:l.iltural <br />distri ct . <br /> <br />Major difference between the enhanced voluntary agricultural district and voluntal Y <br />agriculmral districts lies in the conservation agreement, and the benefits ofthe enl"lIlced <br />voluntary agricultural districts. <br /> <br />1. Conservation agreement Limitation within the enhanced voluntary agricullllral <br />district: <br />a. A conservation agreement entcrcd into between the county and a lHlld9wner <br />shall be irrcvocablc for a pcriod of alleast 10 years from the date tile <br />agreement is executed. At the end of the term, a conservation agrL'I.'ment <br />shall automatically renew for a term of three years, unless notice 01 <br />termination is given in a timely manner by either party. <br /> <br />2. Benefits of enhanced voluntary agricultural district~ <br />a. The provisions that apply to an enhanced voluntary agricultural di~1 rict i~ <br />the same as the provisions set forth in the voluntary agricultural di:-trict <br />policies. <br /> <br />3. Additional benefits of the enhanced voluntary agricultural districts <br />a.
