Mr. Marshall said obviously there <br />is an expense to this but in the communities they are charging that <br />expense to the applicant. He said one thing he would like to <br />address beyond this with the Board is, if they choose to move <br />forward with this, he would like to look at setting up this <br />engineering firm or another in 'the same capacity to review all other <br />large applications. <br /> <br />Mr. Marshall then introduced Mr. Mickey Williams with Trigon <br />Engineering. <br /> <br />Mr. Mickey Williams of Trigon Engineering addressed the Board <br />introducing Mr. Rusty Monroe, President of the Center for Municipal <br />Solutions and Mr. John Arnold, Branch Hanager and Structural <br />Engineer with Trigon Engineering. <br /> <br />Hr. William's then presented a presentation to the Board to give <br />them some background on the company. He said the center's <br />objective is to put Cabarrus County and it's local jurisdictions in <br />control of how they wan[ the cell towers to be located, what type <br />of cell towers they want and where they would like for the towers <br />to go. Mr. Williams said the center was established in 1987 to <br />exclusively represent local government and deal with issues of <br />regulating the siting/placement, RF emissions review, propagation <br />review, construction of telecommunications towers and other types <br />of wireless facilities also. He said Trigon is a professional <br />engineering company providing geotechnical, structural and <br />materials testing. Trigon was founded in 1983 and now has <br />approximately 125 employees with offices in Greensboro, Raleigh <br />and Charlotte, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. <br />Williams then went over the qualifications and description of <br />services the center provides. <br /> <br />Mr. Starnes asked Mr. Williams if the Board can adjust their <br />application fee to cover Trigon's fee. <br /> <br />Mr, Williams said no the applicant pays their fee it would cost the <br />County nothing. <br /> <br /> <br />
