At the conclusion of the Water and Sewer Dlstrict meeting, Chairman Freeman reconvened the_ meeting of the Board of Con~nlSSloners. UP(H~MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by ConmL%ss~oner Prlvette and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to discuss personnel matters; to discuss matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses an Cabarrus County, specifically Westwinds Business Park and the former First Un~on Bank Building; and to consult w~th the County Attorney to preserve the attorney-client privilege and to chscuss pending or threatened litigation as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143- 318.11(a) (6) (4) (3). UPON I~TION of Conm~ssloner Carpenter, seconded by Com~ussloner Pr~vette and unanimously carrled, the Board moved to come out of the Closed Session. Former Flrat Union Bank Bu~ld~n~ UP(~40TIO~ of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board directed staff to advertise for proposals for the sale of the former First Union Bank Building and to have an appraisal completed for the property.
