Resolution No. 2004- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FILING FEES <br /> FOR CANDIDATES FOR <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONER AND REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, filing for the Year 2004 candidates for County Commissioner and Register <br />of Deeds begins on February 9, 2004, if authorized by the North Carolina Board of Elections; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Elections has requested direction in <br />establishing filing fees for these offices; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 163-107 fixes the filing fee for County <br />Commissioner and Register of Deeds at one percent (1%) of the annual salary for each office; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the annual salary for a County Commissioner is $10,254.00 and the annual <br />salary for the Register of Deeds is $57,689.50. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby sets the following filing fees for the 2004 Election and directs that this <br />information be forwarded to the Board of Elections: <br /> <br />County Commissioner <br />Register of Deeds <br /> <br />$103 <br />$577 <br /> <br />Adopted this the 26th day of January 2004. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Robert M.
