NO.: 0346 FILE NO.: A-1 0 <br /> <br />Dear Jonathan: <br /> <br />Thank you for the opportunity to prowde thts proposal for the Phase II Rowan- <br />Cabarrus Community College Upfit design services. It ~s encouraging to see Phase II <br />move forward. <br /> <br />Our design fee is based upon the following assumptions gathered from our discussions <br />with the College staff on the earlier evaluation that we did and the following Phase I <br />upfit, now underway. <br /> <br />Project Scope: <br /> <br />· Main existing shell and renovate approximately 45,000 sf of existing building. <br />· Demo existing cosmetology building. <br /> Incorporate renovation made under Phase I into Phase II renovation. <br />· Upgrade and add to existing parking on site. <br />· Provide new entry way and minor building addition as new focal point to the <br /> facility. <br />· New elevator for ADA compliance <br />· Other work generically defined m early statements of probable construction <br /> costs that was used to define the early project budgets. <br /> <br />Furthermore, our services include the following: <br /> <br />· We assume from our discussions that the A/E contract will be with the County <br /> and the project will not be run through the State Construction Office. <br />· We will prepare a full set of construction documents and project manual and <br /> competitive bid the project according to NC General Statutes (rather than <br /> informal bidding per Phase I). <br />· We will provide full service including design phases, approvals, bidding, <br /> award, preparation of contracts, and construction administration services. <br />· Our fee includes a project construction cost estimate as well as civil, plumbing, <br /> mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering services. <br /> <br /> <br />
