Meeting Date 6/15104 <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Designation of the Pitts Fire District that is under contract with the City of Concord to the <br />"Concord Rural Fire Protection District" as requested by the Office of the State Fire <br />Marshal <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />In 1991, Cabarrus County entered into a contract with the City of Concord to provide fire <br />protection services to the remaining Pitts Fire Distdct south of 1-85 that was not annexed <br />into the City of Concord. Due to an error, the Office of the State Fire Marshal dissolved <br />the entire Pitts Fire District.
