<br /> Section 6. Funds may be advanced from the General Fund for
<br />the purpose of making payments as due. Reimbursement requests
<br />should be made to the grantor agencies in an orderly and timely
<br />
<br /> Section 7. The Finance Officer is directed to report, on a
<br /> monthly basis, on the financial status of each project element in
<br /> Section 3 and on the total revenues received or claimed.
<br />
<br /> Section 8. Copies of this capital project ordinance shall
<br /> be furnished to the Clerk to the Governing Board, and to the
<br /> Budget 0ff~cer and the Finance Officer for direction in carrying
<br /> out this project.
<br />
<br /> Section 9. At the completion of the construction project,
<br /> all unrestricted excess funds are transferred to the General Fund
<br /> for payment of Debt Service and the Capital Project Ordinance is
<br /> closed.

<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to sign
<br />the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency (DJJDP) Funding Plan,
<br />Certification Standards for the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and Program
<br />Agreements for Specialized Placement Program, Project Challenge, Inc., Court
<br />Psychological Services, Cabarrus Teen Court Program and Home Based Services.
<br />Funding totaled $610,368.00 with DJJDP funding of $321,639.00, County funding
<br />of $172,812.00, Local businesses and Donations of $18,345.00 and Local In-
<br />Kind funding of $97,876.00. Individual program funding was as follows:

<br />Resource Office Positions
<br />
<br /> The Sheriff,s Office has received a COPS in School grant award for
<br />$351,432.00 from =he U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Community
<br />Oriented Policing Services. This grant will fund the salary and benefits for
<br />three new full-time school resource officers for a period of three years
<br />The Cabarrus County School System has agreed to continue funding =hess
<br />positions once the grant has been completed in 2007.

<br />grant and the three new School Resource Officer positions.
