The City of <br /> Concord has required that the intersection of Old Charlotte and Union <br /> Cemetery Roads be added to that study. The original cost of the study was <br /> $9,800.00 and the additional work will increase that cost by $1,975.00. <br /> <br /> U~ON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Acting Chairman <br /> Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board approved the contract amendment <br /> for Kimley-Horn and Associates and adopted the following budget amendment: <br /> <br /> BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE <br />AMOUNT: $1,945.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Transfer Between Departments/Funds <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: A FY 2004 appropriation of $9,800 was authorized by the <br />Board to provide a Traffic Impact Study at the former fairgrounds; however, <br />required changes in that study increased the cost by $1,945. The developer has agreed to donate $1,008.00 per unit <br /> to advance the adequacy of public schools. The Midland Planning and Zoning <br /> Board approved the subdivision on June 1'~, subject to the developer entering <br /> into a Consent Agreement with Cabarrus County to meet the Adequate Public <br /> Facilities Ordinance requirements. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Acting Chairman <br />Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Consent Agreement <br />between Cabarrus County and Carolina Development of Charlotte for the Tucker <br />Chase Subdivision, including the payment of $1,008.00 per unit to advance <br />school adequacy with payment to be made at the issuance of building <br />permitting. Further, the Board authorized the County Manager to execute the <br />Consent Agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />(F-8) Consent Agreement for Miles Little Pro~ect <br /> <br /> Miles Little has proposed the development of approximately 264.7 acres <br />on the west side of Highway 24/27 and Highway 601 as a Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) incorporating residential and commercial development. The <br />PUD is estimated to include approximately 600 housing units. The developer <br />has agreed to donate $1,008.00 per unit to advance the adequacy of public <br />schools. The Midland Planning and Zoning Board approved the rezoning of the <br />property on June ie~, subject to the developer entering into a Consent <br />Agreement with Cabarrus County to meet the Adequate Public Facilities <br />Ordinance requirements. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Acting Chairman <br />Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Consent Agreement <br />between Cabarrus County and Miles Little for the Miles Little Project, <br />including the payment of $1,008.00 per unit to advance school adequacy with <br />the total cost to be determined at final platting and payment at the issuance <br /> <br /> <br />
