<br />(':1 <br /> <br />pricing further task orders/amendments under this contract. In developing the not to exceed price, the CM must <br />include all allowable overhead costs to include home office support, anticipated company wide increases, fringe <br />benefits, individual employee promotions, all direct labor costs, computer time, data entry, CADD usage, <br />carrier/messenger services, local travel, supplies, equipment, communication services, and profit associated with <br />this contract. Price increases will not be granted for any alleged omissions or miscalculations of contract pricing. <br /> <br />Contract Duration and Requirements <br /> <br />The contract duration will be approximately twenty four to thirty months. Construction management is expected to <br />begin before construction commences and continue through the final inspection by the State of North Carolina and <br />the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. CM must be available through satisfaction of a final punchlist. <br /> <br />The CM shall identify a Contract Executive who will be responsible for the overall administration and <br />coordination ofthe CM's activities on the contract. The Contract Executive shall be the principal point of contact <br />between the CM and the County official as well as the principal point of contact for requesting tasks, contract <br />correspondence, etc. <br /> <br />The Contract Executive shall assume the general responsibility, on behalf of the CM, for assuming timely <br />submission of proposals, availability of work teams, and the quality of the CM services provided. <br /> <br />,) <br /> <br />The Contract Executive shall assure that a written quarterly report is provided to the appointed county employee <br />beginning 3 months after the contract award. The quarterly report shall summarize the contract status identifying <br />amount of the contract completed any outstanding issues at that time. <br /> <br />Travel <br /> <br />Any travel outside of the contract amount must be authorized by the appropriate county official in advance. Rates <br />for reimbursement will follow Federal Travel Regulations. No reimbursement will be authorized unless sufficient <br />written evidence is sub~it.ted with the request, Le. receipts. <br /> <br />Payments <br /> <br />Progress payments will be made upon submission of a signed invoice on company letterhead or billing form by the <br />CM firm. The invoice must be signed by an appropriate representative of the CM firm. Payment is generally made <br />within two weeks of submittal. Upon contract award, the CM shall provide the necessary information to permit all <br />payments to be made by electronic funds transfer. <br /> <br />Final Payment for the contract will only be made when the services required are completed and accepted by <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Additional Instructions <br /> <br />Neither the CM nor its employees will be required to prepare, sign, or seal drawings or specifications as part of the <br />contract scope of work. The Contractor is required to provide its own computer equipment and software adequate <br />to fully satisfy all operational requirements ofthis contract. This should be considered iI). developing the price <br />proposal as no reimbursement is authorized for such items after award of this contract. This contract requires <br />computerized capabilities of the Contractor. <br /> <br />Qualifications of Firm or Applicant <br /> <br />Cabarrus County prefers a certified Construction Manager by the Construction Manager Certification Institute <br />sponsored by CMAA, however, other firms/contractors will be considered where appropriate and pertinent <br />experience can be shown.
